About the Training

Our 49th Training completed on August 22, 2010. There are now 861 Facilitators in 17 countries, including 41 USA states, 5 provinces of Canada, and in Australia, China, Egypt, England, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Greece, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Scotland, and South Africa. It's an exciting time to join this diverse, creative community.
SoulCollage® Facilitators use SoulCollage® with groups of friends, in churches, women's groups, spas, and libraries. Some are using SoulCollage® in homeopathy, executive and life coaching, schools, writing groups, seniors' life review, cancer support groups, and hospice. The therapists and art therapists among them are working with SoulCollage® with organizational development, with couples therapy, trauma recovery, addiction recovery, pain management, teenagers, at risk children, and with grief and loss. We are constantly amazed at the unique and new ways SoulCollage® Facilitators discover to use SoulCollage® creatively and effectively.
We offer a certificate of completion to those completing the weekend Training and permit these persons to use the name "SoulCollage®" and call themselves "SoulCollage® Facilitators." We do not "certify SoulCollage® Facilitators". Certifying Facilitators would require greater time in training and supervision than can be provided in a one-weekend training.
This course meets the qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and 18 CEUS can be granted.
Participants register on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register as early as possible to be sure to be included for the training dates you prefer.
Preparation and Pre-Requisites
No degree or certification is required to take this training, but Seena Frost requires that participants prepare by reading the book, listening to Seena's two talks about SoulCollage® on audiotapes (or CDs) and beginning to make SoulCollage® cards for their own decks in each suit, so that they can get experience with their own card-making before working with others learning to make cards. Seena requests that participants bring all their SoulCollage® cards when they come for the Training.
Trainers
Seena B. Frost, M. Div., M.A., M.F.T. studied theology at Yale Divinity School, married, raised four children, and then received a Master's degree in psychology from Santa Clara University. She is a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Special trainings with Jean Houston and Robin Van Doren inspired the combining of three of her life passions: spirituality, psychotherapy, and creativity. The SoulCollage® process and the SoulCollage® book, have issued from this magical mix.
Kylea Taylor, M.S., M.F.T. has a private therapy and consulting practice in Santa Cruz, CA. She is a California licensed marriage, child and family counselor (MFC #34901). She is President of Hanford Mead Publishers, Inc. which published SoulCollage®, and she has made her own SoulCollage® cards since 1998. Kylea is a senior trainer on the teaching staff of the Grof Transpersonal Training. She is the author of The Ethics of Caring, The Breathwork Experience, and editor of the new anthology, Exploring Holotropic Breathwork.
In addition to Seena B. Frost and Kylea Taylor, there are several SoulCollage® Trainers who work under the auspices of SoulCollage Inc. to train SoulCollage® Facilitators in diverse geographical areas. Click here to see a list of these trainers.

The SoulCollage® Registered Trademark

The word "SoulCollage" has been registered as a trademark in order to differentiate the process from other collage processes and to provide the training, supervision, and community support we feel would be important to ethical work in groups with the cards. We ask that people only use the phrases SoulCollage® Facilitator or SoulCollage® Group if they have been trained by Seena Frost, author of SoulCollage®. Others may say in their advertising that they will be working in the group using the process of SoulCollage® as described in Seena B. Frost's book, SoulCollage®. It seems a small distinction, but it is important to us to use the trademark in certain ways that will gradually become recognizable to people as the work spreads.
