Seena Frost's first Training in 2011 will be held at The Presentation Center, an eco-friendly peaceful oasis tucked among the redwoods on 67 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Los Gatos, just 30 minutes from Silicon Valley and about an hour from San Franciso. San Jose International is the closest airport.
The Center offers nature trails and contemplative walking paths around the field or the lake. Their new “Green” Welcoming Center reflects their commitment to environmental values and education. It is one of only three “Gold Standard” LEED certified buildings in Santa Clara County.
Renowned for their superb meals, all home-cooked, the chef uses organic food harvested from their garden. A vegetarian option is available with advance notice and attempts are made to accommodate gluten-free needs.

Accommodations
The Center offers accommodations for this Training in the historic Pueblo Building and in a few cottages. The Pueblo provides single and double occupancy rooms with newly-renovated dorm style bathrooms. Each cottage is unque, some with small kitchen areas. Double rooms and limited single room options are available in both locations. The same room rates apply to all housing. Linens are provded.
Room rates (per person), which include all meals during the Training (dinner on Friday through lunch on Sunday), are as follows: $282 (single), $236 (double) and $136 (commuter/no breakfast).
Your reservations and housing arrangements are handled by SoulCollage® for the Training weekend.
If you choose to arrive early or stay later than the scheduled Training dates, contact the Presentation Center Office directly and inform them that you are attending the SoulCollage® Training. Let them know the room that you have been assigned by SoulCollage®, so that they can try to reserve the same space for you. You can call them at (408) 354-2346.
Bedroom check-in is 3:30 pm. Check-out is 9:00 am. Guests may arrive early but rooms are not guaranteed until 3:30 pm.
Please register early as rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Continuing Education Credits
This course meets the qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and 18 CEUS can be granted.
Work Study Opportunities
SoulCollage® is very interested in making it possible for people to take this Training if they cannot afford it otherwise, and especially if they will be facilitating SoulCollage® with people who also might not have access to it otherwise. If this applies to you, we usually offer two work-study options per Training available for 50% off the current training fee of $450. Applicants currently on a wait list from previous Trainings will be given priority.
Responsibilities include: (1) being ready to help at 11:00 am on Friday, (having already checked in), with set up and also with break down at 12:00 pm - 2:00 on Sunday and (2) helping with set up of chairs, art supplies, and other tasks at meal breaks and breaks between workshop sessions. These tasks involve some lifting.
If you are accepted as a work-study participant, you will be responsible for the full cost of your accommodations and $225 for the Training. If you are unable to fulfill your work-study agreement at the training, we require that you repay the balance of the training fee, $225, within one year.
Preparation and Pre-Requisites
No degrees or certifications are necessary to take this training, but Seena Frost requires that participants prepare by:
1. Reading the SoulCollage® book.
2. Listening to her two CDs, "Introduction to SoulCollage®" and "Facilitating SoulCollage® in Groups."
3. Making SoulCollage® cards for their own decks in each suit, so that they can get experience with their own card-making before working with others learning to make cards.
It is not a pre-requisite, but it will be helpful at some point to listen to each of the CDs in Seena’s series, "Your SoulCollage® Cards." We also recommend that particpants attend a SoulCollage® workshop in their area if possible.
Persons who complete the SoulCollage® Training will receive a certificate of completion and may use the SoulCollage® trademark in doing individual or group work according to the Principles of SoulCollage®. Thus, SoulCollage® trains, rather than "certifies", Facilitators.
Schedule and What to Bring
The workshop begins with registration from 1:00-2:00 pm on Friday (the Training begins at 2:00) and ends about 1:00 pm on Sunday. Mornings begin with breakfast at 8:00 am. There are sessions both evenings until about 9:00 or 9:30 pm. In order to receive a completion certificate, all sessions must be attended, so please make your travel plans to permit your attendance at all sessions.
Be sure to bring all your SoulCollage® cards. You do not need to bring images as those will be provided. If you are using 5 x 8 inch cards there will be blank cards provided. If your cards are another size, bring some blanks. Glue and scissors will be provided, but you can bring your own if you have special ones you like. (Don’t take scissors in your carry-on!)
Bring layers of clothes as the weather on the California coast can vary from quite warm to quite cool. Rain gear and an umbrella are a good idea. Socks or slippers might be nice. You might like to have a refillable water bottle, and a flashlight is useful for guiding you around the grounds at night.
Please do not wear perfume, essential oils or other scents as a courtesy to people who have environmental sensitivities.
