Biography

In mid-2013, after experiencing chronic fatigue and repeated illnesses  for a year, I woke up one morning  with an inner voice speaking to me saying, “You must heal yourself.” Thus began a journey of change, the most important being using expressive arts, including  I SoulCollage® and other expressive arts practice to access my intuition and inner wisdom. I immediately got better and was amazed at the insights and healing that took place! In September, 2013 I became a trained SoulCollage® facilitator. I am also a Facilitator of Expressive Arts and Intuitive Painting and am currently a candidate for certification in Creative Journal Expressive Arts. In early 2014, I formed Chrysalis Creative Arts to offer SoulCollage®, Intuitive Painting, and other Expressive Arts workshops.

Currently, I work full-time as a Member Benefits manager for the California School Employees Association in San Jose California, and prior to that I worked for Santa Clara Unified School District in Santa Clara, California. I love bringing SoulCollage® into my work by offering it to school districts as part of their professional development for staff. I have a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Integral Studies from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

Personal work with own SoulCollage® cards

I have found SoulCollage® to be transformative. As I was going through major changes in the summer of 2013, I found myself making several cards with all male images. I realized I was accessing my male strength and power to help me take needed action in my life. It is a deeply satisfying creative process that I am so grateful to have in my life. I love making cards, journaling from them, and sharing the process with others through my monthly workshops in my home.

  • I offer ongoing monthly SoulCollage® workshops in my home on Sunday afternoons (see dates below) from 1 to 4 p.m.

Join us in this expressive arts experience for an afternoon of creative exploration making SoulCollage cards! Discover, recover, and uncover your intuitive, creative self. Expand your self-awareness, strengthen your intuition, and access your inner wisdom. Everyone is an artist and no prior art or experience with SoulCollage is needed. This time is for you!

SoulCollage was developed by Seena Frost, a marriage and family counselor, as a creative tool for self-awareness and transformation. Using scissors, magazine images, and glue, you will create collaged cards representing all aspects of yourself and your story. We start the afternoon with a brief meditation and sharing time in circle. The circle is a safe space for sharing whatever you would like about what is going on at this time in your life. After sharing together, we will create SoulCollage cards. There will also be time for journaling and sharing our cards together. The journaling time is an opportunity to discover meaning and insights from our creative process.

No prior art or SoulCollage experience is needed. All supplies are included. Please bring a journal and a pen.
