Biography

As an "Inspirationalist" I've engaged thousands of people in taking actions that improve their life and the world. My creativity workshops spark the imagination, blast through inhibiting blocks, and support participant's dreams and desires. I am a mixed-media artist, singer, and vibrant "expressionist" committed to living life to the fullest!

I have 20+ years of experience leading workshops, classes, and retreats that take people on a journey of self-discovery, helping them to find and hear their inner wisdom. As a spiritual director, I bring silence, contemplation, and deep listening into my work. As a Veriditas Advanced Trained and Certified Labyrinth Facilitator I integrate moving meditation into my work with SoulCollage®.

I'm also an entrepreneur with a passion for the environment, so I founded “Sustainable Works” a non-profit organization promoting sustainable living in the urban environment. Currently, I run my business, "Art and Soul Lab - A Place to Explore Your Creative, Authentic Self".

Over the years I've worked with a variety of populations and men and women from all walks of life including:

  • Veterans from the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs
  • 12-step program participants
  • WeSPARK Cancer Center members
  • Transition-aged Foster Youth
  • Churches, Synagogues, and various Spiritual Communities
  • College Students
  • Artists, and
  • Therapists

Description of SoulCollage® work

I offer Introductory SoulCollage® workshops in the greater Los Angeles area, the South Bay, San Fernando Valley, and Orange County (Southern California). These workshops lay the groundwork for understanding the SoulCollage® process, and offer a forum to create cards, do “readings” and share/view cards with others.

I conduct advanced and "theme-specific” workshops that enable participants to "get to know" their cards, and develop a deeper, more meaninful relationship with them. Themed workshops like “Aphrodite Night” or the “Warrior Within” pop up intermittently; in these workshops participants focus on creating cards with a particular focus.

My 3-month and 6-month "SoulCollage® Journeys" build community, offer a deep dive into juicy themes like "Personal Myth" and "The Goddess Within" and also explore foundational elements like "The Transpersonal Cards and Suits of Your SoulCollage® Deck" more deeply.

I offer my services to private parties, corporations, and existing groups such as church groups, women’s groups, men’s groups, life-makeover groups and many more! Please contact me if you have a group interested in SoulCollage®.

Personal work with own SoulCollage® cards

Self-discovery, creative expression, reflective processing, and a faith that I am being guided are all part of my SoulCollage® experience. I access my intuition as I sift through images that call me and whisper their yearning to be involved. Image placement evolves and allows the card’s design to emerge – often resulting in unexpected, fascinating collages that speak and reveal messages from deep within. Readings result in emotional release sparked by synchronicity and a deep knowing suffused with a faith that my internal compass sets my course.

I use my SoulCollage® for sacred events like my birthday, my anniversary, and various turning points throughout the year. When I connect with my cards, I get such a wealth of insight and wisdom.

Other Notes

Here's a reading I did for the Summer Solstice, 2013.

  • Create your own personal deck of SoulCollage® Cards that can be used for "inner work", as oracles, as prompts for journaling, to inspire your creative expression and so many more activities.

The SoulCollage® Process is a rich exploration of your inner wisdom, using a deck of cards created by you. Coupled with a variety of transformative arts exercises (journaling, movement, sounding, etc.) you gain insight and awareness.

SoulCollage® is an intuitive collage process for self-discovery that is fun, creative, inspirational and can awaken you in unexpected ways by providing meaningful "Aha!" moments that capture new ideas, thoughts and connections relevant to your life.

This workshop engages you in the SoulCollage® method and offers all the elements necessary to ultimately participate in a SoulCollage® Facilitator’s training, should you ever want to do that.

    The Introductory workshop elements include:

    • SoulCollage® history and SoulCollage® process including key concepts and practices

    • The 4 suits of the deck

    • The "Companion Suit" Guided Meditation

    • SoulCollage® card-making

    • The fundamental “I am one who…” exercise, and

    • Doing SoulCollage® Card Readings

SoulCollage® takes you on an inner journey using your imagination and imagery. Working with your own guidance system you create collaged cards that offer you a window into your subconscious and spark an inner dialogue. Activities involving the cards help you to penetrate their meaning and the wisdom buried within. This workshop is the first step in building your own personal deck of SoulCollage® cards.
