Do you need 6 Law & Ethics CEs for your license?

Do you want better relationships with clients?

Do you want to know more about how motivations affect ethics?

If so, these are three good reasons to listen to this recorded course based on Kylea Taylor’s book, The Ethics of Caring, and the deep experience both she and co-Presenter, Selene Vega have had with all aspects of client relationship and supervision.

This course has been designed to fulfill CA BBS requirement for 6 Law & Ethics CEs. CEs are accepted by the ATCB (Art Therapy Credentials Board) for ATR-BCsLearn how to apply for CEs. SoulCollage Inc. is CE provider # 133654 approved by CAMFT.

Goals of this online recorded course:

1) Demonstrate through lecture, vignette, and discussion, the use of The Ethics of Caring model so that participants can identify their conscious and unconscious motivations in a client situation before, during, and after taking actions with the client in order to prevent affliction and enhance well being for client, self, and others, or to repair an ethical misstep in a client relationship.
2) Demonstrate through lecture and discussion what is an ethical internal locus of control to complement the external locus of control, represented by ethical codes, standards, and guidelines, to better prevent client harm and increase client benefit.
3) Through lecture and discussion, review ethical principles (such as scope of competence, scope of practice, safety, conflict of interest, non-exploitation of clients, and dual relationship) and learn to apply these principles to profound work in expressive arts with clients.
A friend told me about this course. I wasn't sure it would really be a good or adequate course, not sure why I felt that way. However, I found your explorations to be ones that are largely missing from the mainstream ethics courses. I have taken an ethics course through the Zur Institute before and enjoyed the exploration that was also different from the norm. I am both a bodyworker and a counselor, I also work in research studies using mindfulness. The world is a complex environment of ethical considerations and human dynamics. Thank you for your course!

What others are saying

This was a great course....by far the most relevant and thoughtful Ethics course I have ever taken.  I am required to take one every two years for licensure, and they are usually a dreary experience of "how to stay out of trouble."   I appreciated Kylea and Selene bringing soul and heart to the subject.  I wish everyone knew about this course, and I am telling my colleagues about it.

This course really helped with my understanding of Ethics and how this impacts just about every aspect of facilitation. Presenters were very experienced and skilled in their subject matter. The vignettes were very engaging.
