Biography

I currently live with my husband, dog and scores of birds, small rodents and trees on 2.5 acres near Stratford, Ontario where we raise fruit, vegetables and flowers galore, for the enjoyment of our 5 children, 4 grandchildren and many relations and friends.

I was born and raised near Cleveland, Ohio; did undergrad at Valparaiso Univeristy in Indiana, was awarded an M.Div by Trinity Seminary in Columbus, Ohio and a Th. M. by Emmanuel College, University of Toronto. My career in ministry spanned 30 years and five countries. My final "church job" was as Program Director at Five Oaks Retreat Centre where I was charged with bringing Ecospirituality to the life and work of the Centre. It was at Five Oaks that I encountered SoulCollage® and decided to train as a faciliator.

I am also a wilderness canoe trip guide and a part-time bartender.

Description of SoulCollage® work

I am passionately committed to growing personal self-awareness and building community among women and SoulCollage® is an incredible tool for both. As an experienced faciliator I bring many years of experience in leading groups of every size and description.

You can choose from among many types of SoulCollage® experiences.

"A Taste of SoulCollage®" is a 2 hour experiential introduction to SoulCollage which I offer to groups of 4 or more in a location appropriate to group size.

Day-long introductory workshops are available for those who are new to SoulCollage® as well as "Retreat Days" for experienced SoulCollage®rs who long to make and work with cards in a like-souled community.

Introductory Weekends and Retreat Weekends are also available for groups of 6 or more.

I am happy to work with groups of any or no spiritual tradition.

I would be delighted to work with you or your group. Just contact me by phone and email for a deeper conversation about SoulCollage®.

Grief is intense sorrow; a normal and appropriate emotional response to loss and its expression is unique to each person and each situation. We can experience loss and thus grief for many reasons, including the death or disappearance of a person, pet, job, or home.  We can grieve for the state of our and other species, and for the planet. We can grieve for the parts of ourselves we have disowned. The losses we feel are unique to us.

In our death-denying, grief phobic culture we tend to avoid what is painful or makes us uncomfortable and in so doing shun the essential experience of being human that deep encounters with loss and grief give us. With societal pressure to “get over” our grief, after time our grief may not even be obvious to us; it can become enmeshed in the fabric of our being and stuck in our bodies.

Creativity, like loss, is also an integral and essential part of the human experience.  SoulCollage® is a creative process that uses images, imagination, and intuition to give visual and poetic expression to the many facets of your inner self, life experiences and soul’s journey. SoulCollage® is an amazing vehicle for personal transformation and healing.
